In an U.S Government project the Admissions System is being designed on the Microsoft Three Tier Model. The Presentation level and the middle tier is being developed using Microsoft Visual Basic/Visual C++. The database is ORACLE 8.0. The Admission System is designed to be a distributed, highly scalable, maintainable application structured after the Microsoft Componenet Object model (COM) for distributed applications. Part of the Admission System (Application Processing, Stipened Information, Application status trackingetc.) is web enabled.
